Talking
"Well, luv, if you get Silly to leave the room, I can give you a list." Spike said seductively.
Dru rolled her eyes. "If you put a leash on Blondie, we can try to discuss this reasonably Red."
Willow just laughed. "OK. Now you two cut it out. Be nice. Geez....I sound like my mother!"
"We've never played THAT game before luv..."
"Would like to me to get a bucket of cold water?" Drusilla asked innocently.
Spike looked at her, his eyes amused. "I can always make you leave."
Dru snorted. "Yeah. Like to see you try."
"Kids. Stop. Spike, we can play whatever game you want later. Dru, quit provoking him. He is difficult enough without the help." Willow smiled. "So, as I was saying, what do you think I should do about the wedding?"
Dru and Spike agreed on a truce. "Well, do you want to go?" Dru asked her friend.
"Its not that easy!" Willow wailed.
"Why not?" Spike asked.
Willow looked at them like they were crazy. "I can just see it now. 'Hey guys. Sorry I disappeared for seven years. Don't you all look great. Oh, by the way, do you remember Spike? He tried killing us several times Junior year? Well, I love him. Buffy, put the stake away. Its true. We have hot wild monkey sex and have for a little over six years now. I can see y'all wondering about Dru here. Well, she's my best friend. In fact, she lives with us. No Xander, this is not some cheap French movie. She has her own room. Yes, I remember that she tried to kill me, but things happen. She's changed a lot....' That is probably about the time they either kill me or ask me to leave...."
"Wild monkey sex?" Spike asked.
Willow felt a blush. "Well....Oh shut up. I heard that somewhere."
"You're their friend. They won't kill you or ask you to leave. Now, me and Dru? I'm thinking stakeage."
"Spike! Willow, he's right. If they love you, they accept and move on. If they don't..well, isn't it better to find out for sure instead of always wondering?"
Willow thought over Dru's words. She didn't notice Spike whispering the words Thank You to Dru or Dru's accepting nod.
"You're right. I do miss them. Maybe they are at a point now where they can accept everything. Before, the timing was off. Then time just flew by and I never bothered to try to contact them. You both will come won't you?" She suddenly asked.
"Where you go, I go." Spike said simply.
"Dru?"
"I don't know...I killed a slayer. She was a friend of yours. I tortured the watcher...I just don't know if I can face that."
"Yes you can. You are very strong, besides, you'll have me and Spike. Spike's going and he did some terrible things too."
Dru looked at her friend. "What did he do? He ranted a bit, insulted the slayer and Angelus, then joined forces with the good guys to stop the end of the world. I'm thinking that there is a bit of difference in the two cases."
"Ah, shut up. I was bad. I was evil. They quaked in fear of me." Spike said. Then he smiled, "Heck, now that I think about, I may deserve a parade."
The two women groaned. "Spike, you're so not helping." Willow said.
He turned serious. "Drusilla...baby...dear. You have to go. If you don't, Willow will force me stay and babysit. She won't want you to be here alone. You know that. Then, she will have to go by herself. She won't be able to enjoy the festive event without both us beside her. Besides, I haven't been away from her for more than a day in about six and half years. I don't plan to start now. She would be very unhappy alone in Sunnydale. Now, do you want to upset Willow?" he said.
"Never. Fine. I'll go. But be warned, if they try to hurt you, I'll kill them." she told Willow.
"Thanks. If they try to hurt me, I'll allow it, just this once."
Spike smiled eagerly. "Goodie...we can kill? Can I have the moron?"
"Not you. Just Dru. You wouldn't kill. You'd probably torture then just leave for dead. Dru will make it nice and swift."
Spike pouted. "You owe me luv."
Willow got a weird look on her face. "I just realized that I am sitting here talking about the possible deaths of my friends as though I were making a grocery list! I am such a terrible person. What happened to me?"
Spike smiled at her. "You're not terrible. You weren't being serious. You know they would never hurt you. It may take them time, but they'll get over it. As to what happened? You grew up. Remember?"
He reached down to kiss her deeply. Willow brought her hands up behind his neck, leaning into the kiss, forgetting about Buffy....Sunnydale....the wedding...everything except the feel of Spike against her..
Drusilla got up and said goodbye to the oblivious lovers. She went to her room and got out Willow's old journals. She also got her own. She needed to get ready to face the past that she had left behind in Sunnydale. Willow needed her to be strong. She would be strong.
