Thoughts
Willow pulled back from Dru and hugged her. She could see the worry in her dark eyes. These last few years had been so weird. She never would have thought that Drusilla would eventually become her dearest and closest friend. Smiling reassuringly at Dru, she turned toward Spike. She had once wished (dreamed) that he would become her lover. Never imagined it actually happening. She kissed him lightly. She loved to kiss him. His mouth was so lovely. Also, she liked the feeling of having the freedom to just do it anytime she wanted. He was hers and she liked to remind them both of that.....very often.
Dru shook her head and laughed softly. She moved towards the chair and sat down. She knew from experience that the small kiss would turn into a five minute groping session. She was just glad that her two friends were so happy. She was also fortunate that they allowed her to play such an important part in their lives. She didn't know what she would do without them. They had done so much for her. She loved them both dearly. She saw Spike run his hand over Willow's back, pulling the slight girl closer to him. She knew she should feel jealous or at least upset, but all she felt was joy that those two had discovered such a deep, lasting love. She also felt very fortunate because, if they hadn't found each other all those years ago, she knew she would have died.
Spike broke himself off from the kiss. He was fighting the urge to take her there on the floor. He had to remember that Drusilla was still in the room. Shaking his head slightly, he turned toward the former love of his unlife. Now, when he looked at her, all he felt was found memories of their past and a friendship. He knew she felt the same. If you had told him that one day he would be sharing a house and a life with his soulmate and his ex-lover, he would have laughed. Yet, here he was. And not only that, the two women were best friends. They had a bond that ran very deep. He looked at his Red and moved his hand over her forehead. She was worried. He knew that she had broken off all contact with her former life. It must be hard for her to try to decide if she was ready to share her new life with her old friends. He kissed the top of her head and moved her to sit on the bed. He sat up behind her, pulling her back into his lap.
Willow was glad that Spike had halted their small kiss. She sometimes forgot that Dru was with them. She could only think about Spike. Dru was dear to her, but there were some things that Willow had no intentions of sharing. Spike was the first. Willow thought about it a minute. Actually, Spike was the only thing she wouldn't share with her friend. Willow knew that Dru would never consider that anyway. Dru seemed to think of Willow and Spike as something akin to her parents. She tolerated them kissing and cuddling, but when things looked like they might go farther, she was the first to leave the room. Willow thought about it a moment and realized that Dru's reaction was typical of a daughter---not wanting to be reminded that her parents were having sex. Willow had to laugh at that. She felt Spike looking at her. She smiled into his blue eyes. Yes, you could definitely say that a lot had happened these past years.
"So, guys, what should I do?" Willow asked.
