"Willow....you can imagine what we are trying to come to terms with. I really wish there had been some warning from you." Buffy said, looking at her friend.

It had been two days since their reunion. Everyone had wanted time to think about Willow and her new life. They had to decide what to do. Now, everyone was back in the library.

"Buffy, If I had called you and told you that I was in love with Spike you would have either thought I was joking or thought that he turned me. I had to wait until you could see us in person. See how happy he makes me. He has changed Buffy. We all have."

Buffy sighed. She had tried to understand. She knew that Willow was honest. She could sense a difference in the two vampires. She mostly felt betrayed that Willow had not told her about them. She didn't want to lose her old friend, but she wondered if they were ever truly friends. If not, maybe now they could be.

"I know. I will try. That's all I can promise."

Willow smiled. Maybe she had been wrong. Buffy had reached out, now she would have to take the offered hand. "I'm glad. Give it time. You'll see."

She saw Giles smile and nod. He was willing to get used to the vampires and see how they had changed. Willow was happy. He trusted Willow.

"Well, Buff may be able to forget, but I can't. Wills, you left school. You gave up your future for him. He's a killer. Worse than Deadboy even."

Willow felt anger at Xander. He had no idea what he was talking about.

"He is my future! I wanted to leave school. I chose to help the council. MY choice. Spike tried to talk me into staying in class, but I didn't want to. So, how would you explain him ruining my life when he tried to keep me in school?"

Xander looked away. "I don't know. I just don't think you're the Willow that was my best friend."

"Xan---I grew up. You grew up. You're nothing like MY Xander. I mean, you're married...to Cordelia! Remember, we used to hate her. How is Spike different than her?"

"Wait, I refuse to be compared to that cold, heartless fiend." Cordelia spoke up.

Personally, she didn't care who the red head fucked, and didn't know what the big deal was. Hell, Spike was gorgeous, had a great ass and that accent? Way better than she had ever imagined the hacker getting. But she was not going to be compared to him. He was a killer after all.

Buffy smiled. "I can see the similarities."

Everyone looked at each other and had to laugh. Buffy's joke releasing a bit of the tension. Cordelia just rolled her eyes.

"Thank you all....seriously. I did miss everyone. I just let things go too long."

"You're back now. That's what matters. Why don't we get together and go shopping. We have seven years to catch up on." Buffy said, smiling at her old friend.

"I'd like that."
