Help
Thackery listened as Willow explained what they had found. "You mean, she was gone?"
"Yes, but she left her doll. Spike said it was like a security blanket for her. I don't why, but I'm worried."
"Well, it does seem odd. Doesn't make any sense. Why come to London and leave hurriedly a week later? Of course, we are talking about Drusilla. She isn't the most logical vampire I've ever read about."
Willow smiled slightly. "You can say that again. I don't know. Maybe. I just want an answer. I know Spike says he doesn't really care, but I don't believe him. He's worried. The same as I would be if it were one of my close friends."
Thack looked at the young girl. She never failed to amaze him. Here she was worried about her new lover's old girlfriend. Of course, she was sleeping with a master vampire that was known worldwide as being one of the most deadly of his kind. Sometimes she wasn't that bright. Thack knew that it was odd, but he had seen the way that Spike watched her. He knew that with Spike she would always be safe. He was glad. He really liked the girl, understanding why Rupert was so proud of her. She was smart, inquisitive, polite, beautiful, and she always looked for the good in any situation. Thack had a feeling that she would be a wonderful addition to the council one day. She was very well liked, having gained a reputation world wide for always knowing the answer or the way to find it. He wondered how she found time to solve all of the problems that she did. Smiling, he clasped her hand.
"I'll see what I can do Will. Meanwhile, don't worry. I'm sure it is nothing. I'll get Max on it today. If there is something unusual, he'll be the one to find out."
Willow smiled. Max was one of the council's 'special friends'. She had learned about them soon after she started researching. It seemed that the council kept alliances with several vampires world wide. In exchange for their keeping their clans under control, the council ignored them. They also had several demons and witches and things that Willow didn't even know about working with them. All of them fought against the evil that existed throughout the areas. Max was a demon that worked out of London. Willow had met him once before when he needed help. She knew his reputation. If anyone could find Drusilla, he could.
"Thanks you Thackery. I know this must seem very weird to you. I appreciate your help. Spike does too. Will you call me when you hear something?"
Thack nodded. "Of course. Now, go. I don't want to have to face William the Bloody if you get home late."
"Ok OK....Geesh, between you two it is a miracle that I even find time for a life." she said laughing.
"You mean you have one? I must talk to Spike about that. He and I will need to take care of that...."
Willow gave him a look. "Keep the mouth shut old man."
"Well, I never. You better take that smart mouth of yours and get home. Seriously, Willow. I'll let you know as soon as I hear something. Don't worry. Just enjoy the weekend."
"Have a good day Thack."
"Be safe."
Willow left his office and headed home to Spike.
