"She's not here." Spike looked around the tiny room in disgust.
It was small and dirty. He couldn't believe that Dru had been living in such filth. Drawers were open and empty. There were no personal belongings in the room. She was gone. He turned back to Willow and smiled. He was a lucky bastard. He didn't know what he had ever done to deserve someone like her. She had given him her virginity only four nights ago. He had never believed in true love or any of that other romantic bullshit...until Willow. She was his soul mate. He couldn't imagine his life with her. She was all fire and innocence. He loved the look on her face when she was sleeping. The look in her eyes when she was cumming. She noticed his stare and looked at him. Her eyes were worried.
"What is it pet?"
Willow looked around. "She was here two days ago. I don't know....it just seems like she left in a hurry."
"Maybe she got tired of looking," Spike offered.
"Maybe...." Willow shrugged. "I guess we can go." She turned by the bed and her foot hit something. She bent down and looked under the bed. She pulled out an old doll.
"Spike." she said worry creeping into her voice.
"What is it?" He came up behind her. "Bloody hell. That's Miss Edith."
Willow looked at him. His eyes had taken on an anxious look. "Dru wouldn't have left without it, would she?"
"Pet, she used to sleep with the damn doll. It 'talks' to her. She made me go back to Madrid once from Paris because she left it. After that, she rarely let it out of her sight. Something is wrong."
Willow held the doll to her chest. She couldn't explain why she cared about Drusilla. She had felt sorry for the woman, but now she feared for her.
"Let's go. I'll check with Thackery and see if he knows anything."
"Ok...Willow," Spike looked at her, "I don't have a good feeling about this."
"It will be ok. She was here less than 48 hours ago. We should be able to find out if she left of her own free will and just forgot the doll or if she was taken. We'll find her."
"Thank you....I know how this must seem..." Spike's voice trailed off.
Willow smiled at him. "I'd be doing the same thing if it were Xander or Buffy. You loved her for a long time. Just because you don't feel that anymore, doesn't mean you don't care."
"What did I ever do to be this fortunate?" Spike asked, kissing her gently.
"Just lucky I guess." She said, kissing him back. "Now, enough smoochies. Let's go find Dru."
