Master

Willow walked behind Darla, holding her mate's hand tightly. She was so close to Darla that she could feel the material of the blonde's clothes. Wide green eyes looked around the tunnel as she followed Darla. She shivered slightly, the air cooler underground. It was damp, her shirt sticking to her skin as they walked. She saw several vampires lurking in doorways, eyes peering out at them as they walked past. She moved closer to Darla, wondering what the hell she was doing down here, in the master's lair.

Darla kept her face expressionless as they walked, her eyes narrowing at any vampire that dare look out at her or her mate. She felt Willow move closer to her and almost smiled. She could hear her mate's heartbeat racing, the soft scent of fear coming from the redhead. Willow's hand tightened around hers as they neared the end of the hallway. Darla turned and face Willow, capturing her chin in her hands, "Are you OK?"

Willow nodded, "Yes. A bit scared, but I'm with you. I know that you'll keep me safe."

"You trust me that much," Darla said in wonder. She smiled, moving her fingers down Willow's graceful neck and tracing the deep bite mark that claimed the girl as her own. "You're mine, Willow. Nothing will ever hurt you."

"I love you," Willow whispered, again amazed at the depth of emotion she saw in her lover's eyes.

Darla didn't respond, instead kissing Willow quickly and possessively. She moved her hand behind Willow, cupping the gentle swell of the redhead's ass as she moved into the kiss. They were interrupted by a door swinging open and an amused voice asking, "Do I get to meet her before you devour her, Daughter?"

Darla pulled back, her eyes shining with mischief as she looked up, "Father."

Willow felt her cheek flushing as she looked up, her eyes curiously looking over the man that had sired her mate. He didn't look human, the first surprise. His face was white, his eyes slightly tinged with red. Looking closely, she could get a vague idea of what he might have looked like as a human, before his change. The second surprise was the obvious affection that his eyes held when looking at Darla. He cared about her mate.

"So, this is Willow," the Master said, eyes sweeping over the girl and forming an impression. She was looking at him with clear eyes lacking fear or concern. She hadn't flinched upon seeing his face, something that impressed him greatly. Her hand was holding that of his Daughter's, the bond between obvious to any around them. Nodding, he smiled his approval. "She'll do nicely."

"It's nice to meet you Sir," Willow said softly, not sure how she was supposed to address him. "I've heard quite a bit about you."

"Call me Father, child," he said, opening his door wide. He put his arm around her shoulder, ushering the petite redhead into his private chambers. "Darla has told me much about you too, Willow. Your friend is still asleep so we have time to become acquainted. Daughter, come."

Darla smiled as she followed her sire and mate into the room, shutting the door behind her. She took the seat her Father offered, watching with curious eyes the exchange between her lover and sire. Yet another time that Willow surprised her. She sat back, listening with a small smile as Willow answered the Master's questions, soon winning him over with her enthusiastic rambling and curious questions.
