Cabin Fever

Summary:
Willow & Faith spend a weekend in the snow

Chapter 1

Willow dropped her bag on the bed, looking around her room for the next week. She went to the window, smiling as she saw the snow. She didn't know how to ski, but she planned on enjoying the break from Sunnydale. No one had been as surprised as she when Cordelia had announced that her Christmas present to everyone was a week at her family's cabin in the mountains. So, Giles and Angel had agreed to watch over the Hellmouth as the others went skiing. She heard a loud crash and turned, looking at the girl who had joined her. "What are you doing?"

Faith scowled at the redhead, "You got stuck with me Red. With Cordy's cousin coming, we lost a room."

"Why me?" Willow asked. "Buffy has room too."

"She snores" Faith said throwing her bag on the bed. "Look. I'm not that thrilled about this either. I hate snow. Only reason I'm here is because I was not going to get stuck in Sunnyhell with the watcher and the vampire. So, stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours."

"Great" Willow said, sitting down and grimacing. This was just great. Her vacation had been ruined.

"Man, can you believe this place? Some cabin" Faith snorted.

"A bit much, isn't it?" Willow had to agree. "I mean, five rooms. And did you see the living room?"

"Bigger than Giles' apartment" Faith said, shaking her head. "No wonder Cordy is a stuck up bitch."

Willow laughed, "That's no excuse. Cordy was just born that way."

Faith moved to the window, looking at the snow. She had hated the cold since growing up in Boston. She remembered her mother's small apartment and the way it got so cold during the winter. They never had heat and she was often sick from the temperature. She had left Boston, vowing to never see snow again. Now here she was in some cabin stuck for a week. At least it was warm inside. She had no plans on leaving the place until the cab arrived to take them to the airport in seven days. "I already hate this."

"I really wish you'd stayed home then" Willow said, knowing that Faith was going to ruin the entire trip for her. Maybe she could share with Buffy. She didn't mind snoring...all that much. She stood, moving to the door. "I'm going to check on Buffy and the others."

"Sure thing Red" Faith said, wondering why she had even come with them. None of them liked her anyway. She was in for a long week, she knew. Her eyes fell on the fluffy blue sweater laying on Willow's bed. She was stuck in hell with a damn goodie goodie. What evil thing had she done to deserve that awful fate?

***************

"I hate skiing" Willow said, scowling as she sat at the table.

Buffy laughed, "Come on Willow. You didn't do that bad."

"I couldn't even stand up," Willow said, glaring at the girl who was of course a natural.

"Give it time, Wills. You'll learn" Cordelia said.

"I have a week. There is no way I can learn in a week," Willow said.

"Yes you can. You're Willow. You learn everything quick like," Xander said.

Willow just looked at the sky. "It looks kind of nasty. Should we go back?"

Cordelia looked up. "Nah...it should be fine. It's only suppose to be a light snow they say."

"Great" Willow said. Cordelia's cabin was beautiful but rather remote. There was a small road you took up the mountain to reach it. She didn't really like the idea of driving up that road if it was snowing. It seemed a bit dangerous to her. It was also about half an hour from the resort where they were at. That meant, thirty minutes without a light snow, as Cordelia put it. If it snowed too hard, they might not even be able to make it back. Willow grimaced at the idea of being stuck at the lodge for even an hour more. Skiing and her did not agree. She was cold and felt tired.

James smiled at the redhead. Anyone could tell she was having a miserable time. He took pity on the girl, saying, "I have to go pick up my guitar for open mike night. If you want a ride back, there's room." Willow smiled at Cordelia's cousin, deciding she might just be in love with him. Well, if he hadn't been twenty two and gay. "That would be great."

"Willow" Buffy whined. "You can't leave. We're here to have fun."

"I can make my own fun" Willow said, smiling. "Buffy, I hate this skiing thing. You guys go on and I'll make something warm and good for dinner. Ok?"

"Fine" Buffy relented. "But you're going to miss some good times."

"I'll survive" Willow said. "See you guys later."

She went and joined James in the car. She suddenly remembered after they had left the resort and were on their way to the Chase's cabin that Faith had stayed behind, alone. Great. She was going to have to put up with the brunette without anyone to help. She almost wished she had stayed behind. Thinking of the cold, she relented. It was a big cabin. They could just ignore each other for a few hours.

***************

Faith looked across the room at Willow and sighed loudly. The redhead had come back early, having James drive her from the resort. So, Faith's plans of peace and quiet were destroyed. Not that Willow was being loud. On the contrary, she seemed to want to ignore Faith's presence completely. That really irritated the brunette slayer. She moved in her chair, smiling in satisfaction as Willow turned to glare at her. "Sorry, Red. Am I disturbing you?"

Willow rolled her eyes at Faith's innocent expression. "No. Of course not. Continue to make as much noise as possible."

"Thanks" Faith said, grinning at the girl.

"What am I gonna do with you?" Willow muttered, turning back to her laptop.

"I could give you some ideas" Faith said, under her breath.

Willow looked up, "Did you say something?"

"Not me. Must be hearing things."

Willow grimaced, believing that could be possible. It had been a long day. The damn skiing had been hard work, even if most of it had been on her ass. "Fuck!"

"Huh?" Faith asked, startled from her latest fantasy by the redhead's curse.

"The damn modem lost its connection. I lost everything!" Willow griped, trying to reconnect.

"Sorry" Faith said, wondering how anyone could get that upset over a stupid computer. She never did quite understand people's fascination with the silly machines. She wasn't patient enough to sit still and work on one for hours like some people.

Willow frowned, "It won't connect. Damn, this is pissing me off."

Faith stood, moving to the girl's side. She looked at the modem line and saw that the wire was plugged in. She checked the phone, picking it up. "Found the problem. No dial tone."

Willow looked from the phone to the girl. "What?"

"No. Dial. Tone." Faith said, speaking slowly. She saw the spark of anger in Willow's green eyes and smiled. Damn, she could play her well.

"What do you mean, no dial tone? It was working just fine a minute ago." Willow said, moving from her chair. For some reason, Faith's closeness was bothering her. She walked to the window, gasping. "Good grief....."

Faith came up behind her, visibly blanching. "Damn....it's all white. When the fuck did it snow so much?"

Willow sighed, "Well, I guess that explains the phones. This doesn't look like it's going to let up anytime soon. Fuck."

"You say that a lot don't you?" Faith said, smirking at the redhead. She suddenly stilled when she heard a soft ringing noise. "What the hell is that?"

Willow listened, a smile crossing her face. "Cordy's cell phone! Great...where is it?"

Faith started to listen as she and Willow tried to find the ringing phone. "Got it!"

Willow took it, opening it. "Hello?"

"Thank god" Buffy said. "Willow, we're stuck here. They say this storm is going to last for at least the night if not longer. We might not make it for a few days. Do you have enough food?"

"Yeah...you mean, we're stuck here for a few days?" Willow said, not realizing how she was whining.

Faith groaned loudly, "Damn. Why me?"

"Just a few days and it should be melted enough for us to come up." Buffy said, sounding apologetic.

"Fine. Thanks for calling....I guess we'll survive" Willow said, sighing.

"If you need anything, the number here is in Delia's rolodex. We had to get rooms so just ask reception, ok?"

"Sure. I'm sure it will be ok" Willow said, trying to sound positive.

"Well, at least you aren't alone" Buffy said. "Faith is there."

"Yeah....she is" Willow said, glancing at the disgruntled slayer. "Bye Buffy. Give my best to everyone."

"We're stuck?" Faith asked, hoping she had heard wrong.

Willow sighed, nodding. "We're stuck."

***************

Willow finished making the soup, turning the burner off. She poured it into two bowls and placed one in front of Faith and the other in front of her own chair. She sat down and began eating. "Well, at least there was some food."

"Yeah, could be worse" Faith said, taking a sip of the soup. She was cold and everything outside was covering in a sheet of white. But, she wasn't stuck here alone. Or with one of the others. She shuddered at that thought. At least it was Willow.

"I know. I could have been stuck here with Cordelia" Willow wrinkled her nose. She was rewarded with a loud laugh from Faith.

"Man, Red, you must be able to read my mind. I was just thinking that very thing. That would be awful" Faith said, taking a drink. "This is good."

"You can thank Campbells" Willow said, smiling. After they had found out about the snowstorm, she and Faith had actually started a conversation about why they hated snow and it had escalated from there. They had spent the rest of the afternoon talking until it was time to make dinner. They had then just brought the conversation into the kitchen as Faith made grilled cheese and she had made soup. She hated to admit it but Faith wasn't that bad once you stripped away the bad girl act and really got to know her. Not that Willow thought she knew half of who Faith really was. There was such a shell around the girl, it would take forever to strip away all the layers. Of course, they had several days according to Buffy.

"Nah, they just can it. You cooked it" Faith said, taking a bite of her sandwich. "This is actually probably better than having all of the gang here, you know?"

"Listening to Cordy and Xander fight then make up...listening to Buffy whine about Angel and what will never be...listening to James play that damn guitar all night" Willow said, smiling. "You're right. It isn't so bad it just being us."

Faith fought the slight thrill that the word us from Willow brought. She concentrated on her food, chit chatting with Willow over the remainder of the meal. They had just finished when the lights started to flicker. "What the hell?"

"Shit...the lights are going!" Willow said, standing. "The snow must be weighing down the power lines. Goddess....please don't let the electric go out!"

"It can't" Faith said, watching as the lights stopped blinking. She smiled, "See?"

At her word, Willow smiled. "Good."

Just then, the lights went bright before completely shutting off. The room was covered in pitch blackness as the electric went out. Willow groaned loudly as Faith sighed.

***************

"There has to be a generator or something" Willow said, peering into the darkness.

Faith snorted, "Yeah, like either of us would know a generator if it bit us on the ass..."

"Hey, at least it's something" Willow said, moving forward slowly. "Ouch!"

Faith had to laugh, "Remember the table, sweets."

"Shut up" Willow grumbled, rubbing her knee. "I know there were some candles in one of the drawers. I saw them when I was looking for a can opener."

"Yeah, you're right" Faith agreed, moving towards the area of the kitchen closer to the cupboards. She put her arms in front of her, feeling the space with her hands to keep from knocking into the large bar in the middle of the room.

"Good...at least I'm right about something" Willow muttered. She shivered as she walked, suddenly stopping. "Holy shit...."

"Huh?" Faith asked, running into the cabinet at Willow's exclamation. "Fuck! That hurt."

"Can't see what's right in front of you, F?" Willow asked sweetly. She heard Faith's colorful curse and laughed. "We have no heat, my dear."

"I'm not anyone's dear" Faith said, opening a drawer and feeling around. She felt something cut the tip of her finger and bit back another curse. "Not this drawer. Wait...no heat?"

"Electricity, slayer. No heat...no lights....no phone. And welcome to my vacation in hell. Enjoy the stay." Willow said, opening a drawer.

"Our vacation" Faith said, not wanting to be forgotten. "And we thought Sunnydale was the fucking Hellmouth. Who knew it was also Delia's cabin. Not this drawer either."

"I know...If I wanted to sit around and hate every minute that passed, I would have stayed at home." Willow said, feeling around. "Wait...found them!"

Faith turned, her hands in front of her. She touched something soft and round and heard Willow's gasp. She felt heat flood her as the softness moved away. She cleared her throat, not wanting to imagine what she had just caressed. "Um...yay. I gotta lighter here."

"Oh" Willow said, knowing her face must be flaming. Faith had just felt her up. Not intentionally of course, but Willow's body didn't seem to know the difference. Her nipples were hard and straining against her bra. Just the cold, she told herself. Just the cold. "Here."

Faith felt the candles against her hand and she took them. She reached for the lighter in her back pocket and lit the first candle. The kitchen was soon ablaze in soft light. She glanced at Willow and saw the girl staring into space, an unreadable expression on that pretty face. Faith sighed, lighting the other candles. She felt the room begin to cool off and said, "We should light the fire place."

"Fire place?" Willow said, coming out of her thoughts. "I forgot about that. Great. We can just sleep in front of it until the heat comes back on. That way, we stay warm tonight."

Faith nodded, visions of other ways to stay warm with the redhead flashing through her mind. "Yeah....warm."

***************

Willow put the candle on the table, her green eyes raking over the small living room. She frowned, mentally moving furniture to ensure enough room for an impromptu camp. She finally nodded, content with her decision. She turned, running right into Faith who was walking into the room, her arms full of blankets. "Sorry."

"Damn Red, I could have hurt you" Faith said, letting the blankets fall. She nodded to the pile, "That's all I could find without stripping the beds."

Willow had moved to the opposite side of the room as Faith had spoken. She was fighting her body's reaction to the slayer, completely confused by what she was starting to feel. "Looks good enough. I think if we move the chair towards the kitchen and the couch over some, there should be enough room for a bed right in front of the fire. I'll take a candle and head upstairs and bring down the pillows."

"I'll go too" Faith said, a puzzled look on her pretty face. Willow was jumpy. She wondered what had happened. Before the power had gone out, she'd thought they were becoming friends. Now, Willow wouldn't even look at her. She noticed the way the redhead tensed at her statement and turned away. Seemed she wasn't wanted around. Well, Miss Perfect would have to get over it. They were both stuck here. She wasn't going anywhere until the storm was finished and neither was Willow.

"Whatever" Willow said, sucking in a breath. She had hoped to get away from Faith for a few minutes to think about the situation. She hated Faith. Sure, they had gotten a bit friendlier that night and discovered several common interests, but she still resented the slayer and Faith hated her. Then why did she suddenly start to feel such an attraction to the brunette? And what scared Willow the most was the thought that maybe, just maybe, this attraction had always existed and that was the reason she was so afraid of getting to know Faith. With sudden clarity, Willow froze on the stairs. She wanted Faith. Had wanted the loud mouthed, sexy, dangerous girl since she had first seen her. Willow closed her eyes momentarily as she realized what she had been denying for months. She was falling for Faith.

***************

Willow watched the flames as they burned. She had just looked outside, not really being able to see anything in the darkness of the night. The trees that covered the mountain around the cabin just made things even darker. But, she could see enough to know that a blanket of what covered everything around them. She had sat down, giving Faith a short answer when asked how it looked outside. She couldn't believe she was attracted to Faith. She wasn't gay. Or at least, she hadn't thought she was. But she couldn't ignore it. It was there now laying between them unspoken. She wasn't sure what she should do. Why did she have to realize it when they were trapped together? It was some like cheesy romance novel or something only this time she didn't have any ideas about Faith's feelings for her. She had always thought that the slayer hated her. Now she wasn't so sure. What if Faith was just feeling the same thing as she was and completely lost in what to do?

Faith watched Willow ignore her. She wasn't sure what was happening but the girl was acting weird. She shifted on the blankets, moving a pillow between her and the couch. "What happened?"

Willow glanced at Faith, "Huh?"

"You. You're acting like a scared little mouse. What did I do? I mean, I don't remember doing anything to scare you....."

"It's not you" Willow said, facing the fire again. "Just thinking."

"Bout what?" Faith asked, her chin balanced on her knees as she looked at Willow.

"Nothing important" Willow said, wondering how she could tell Faith that she was thinking about fucking her silly in front of the fire without the slayer smacking her.

"If you're thinking it, it's important" Faith said quietly.

"This isn't" Willow said.

"Come on Red...tell me" Faith asked. "Sometimes talking about it makes you figure it out better....."

"Fine. You want to know?" Willow asked, facing her. "I'm thinking about how sexy you look in the firelight. There. Are you happy now?"

Faith froze, her eyes disbelieving. "No" she said huskily, seeing the confusion and desire in Willow's eyes. She leaned forward, catching the redhead off guard. She pressed her mouth to Willow's, hearing the girl's soft sigh. She pulled away, brushing her fingers across Willow's cheek. "Now...now I'm happy."

Willow swallowed, her body on fire from the simple kiss. She shook her head slightly, a small smile crossing her lips. "Well, I'm not......"

At Willow's words, she pressed forward, eagerly claiming Faith's full lips. The girls tumbled down against the pile of blankets as their tentative kisses deepened and their hands began caress each other through their thick sweaters and jeans. Soon, clothes were pulled off as heated skin touched heated skin. Willow felt full breasts against hers and sighed in contentment. She was still confused but this felt right. Faith touching her....kissing her...touching her....this was what had been missing from her life.

Faith groaned as Willow's tongue slid inside her mouth. She almost pinched herself to see if she dreaming again. But, this was real. She was actually kissing Willow. She let her hands reach up to caress the girl's breasts, her fingers pinching Willow's nipples as she kneaded the pale breasts. She heard Willow's gasp of pleasure and smiled against her lips. She pulled Willow's bottom lip into her mouth as she sucked eagerly on it. Her right hand drifted down Willow's flat stomach until her fingers danced across the elastic in Willow's panties. She slid her hand between the silk and warm skin, her fingers brushing against wetness. Willow was soaking, the scent of arousal surrounding the girls. Faith slid a finger into Willow's tightness as her hand continued to knead one breast and her mouth danced against Willow's.

Willow woke from her surprised stupor, moving against Faith's fingers. She let her hand caress Faith's breasts, twisting the nipples roughly. Faith groaned and rubbed her body against her. Willow smiled, kissing the girl more deeply as she spread her legs and wrapped her left one around Faith's. She felt her panties pushed down as Faith eagerly began to thrust three fingers into her, the slayer's thumb brushing her clit. Willow felt Faith's thigh and wet cunt against her leg as the slayer began to move towards her own release. The sound of soft sighs, moans and gasps filled the empty cabin as the girls explored their growing passion. Willow was soon pulling her swollen lips away and crying out Faith's name as the slayer's persistent fingers delved inside her. She felt Faith's lips against her face and neck as the slayer continued to rub her soaking cunt against Willow's leg. Willow let her hand move down to her leg, her fingers finding Faith's clit. She felt the slayer speed her thrusts as she screamed out Willow's name. Willow tightened her cunt against Faith's hand as she too found her release.

Faith looked at Willow's sweaty face and smiled. The girl's lips were swollen from her kisses, her hair falling against her cheek as she sucked in deep breaths. She brushed her lips against Willow's again, pulling back and smiling softly. "What was that about being happy?"

Willow smiled, running her hand over Faith's face. "Very happy." She suddenly laughed, asking, "Can we do it again?"

***************

"Wills? Are you here?" Buffy called out as they entered the cabin. It had been five days since they had been there. The snowstorm had finally stopped a few days before, but the snow was too high for them to risk heading to the cabin.

"She might be sleeping" Xander said, frowning.

"It's after two in the afternoon. She's not sleeping. Maybe she and Faith killed each other" Cordelia said.

Buffy laughed, "I don't know...things look pretty peaceful."

They wandered into the living room, seeing that the furniture had been moved. "What the hell?"

"The electricity was out until this morning" Willow said, walking into the room. She was wearing a tank top and jeans, thrilled that the heat was back on finally. "We had to sleep in front of the fire."

"Hey Willow" Buffy said, "Sorry about all this."

"No problem Buffy. It was more fun than skiing" Willow said, causing the others to laugh.

"You mean, sliding around on your butt" Xander said, remembering Willow's day of skiing unsuccessfully.

"That's not very nice" Faith said, coming into the room from upstairs. She yawned, running a hand through her hair. She was wearing cut offs and a tank top.

"Aren't you cold?" Cordelia asked, rolling her eyes.

"Me? Nah....this is nothing compared to a Boston winter" Faith said, smiling. She stepped beside Willow, her breathing speeding up as she neared her lover. They had spent over half a week simply talking and holding each other. The sex had been the best she had ever experienced. She knew it was because she loved Willow and had never loved any of her other partners.

"So, what did you two do all week?" Buffy asked, wondering at the closeness of Faith to Willow.

Willow smiled, "Nothing much. Was mostly lazy. What about you guys?"

Faith moved to sit beside Willow, her leg rubbing against the denim of Willow's jeans. She yawned again, turning to face Willow as the others told them about their fun week at the resort. She brushed Willow's face with her fingers, a soft smile on her face as Willow faced her. "Afternoon, hon."

Willow smiled tenderly, leaning forward and brushing her lips against Faith's. "Afternoon, lover." She chuckled as she heard Xander's loud shout before he slumped to the floor along with Buffy and Cordelia's gasps. She leaned in again and kissed Faith, feeling happier than she ever had in the girl's loving arms. She would deal with the others later, after the kiss.
