All or Nothing
"Why would she want to meet us out here?" Faith asked, her dark eyes sweeping over the many students that were wandering by on their way to class or back to the dorms.
"Probably figures meeting out here would prevent us from making a scene," Buffy said, knowing Willow well enough to understand the redhead's way of thinking.
Faith snorted, "Yeah, that sounds like Red. Little does she know we'd cause a scene in the middle of Dodger Stadium."
"There will be no scenes," Buffy warned her fellow slayer. "Remember, we discussed this."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Faith said with a sigh. "But, if she tells us to both fuck off, don't think I'm going to take it all nice and easy. I can lose her to you cause you love her as much, if not more, than I do. But, I can't lose her to no one. I won't give her up that easy."
"You and me both," Buffy said under her breath. She and Faith had spent hours just talking over the previous day and a half that Willow had kept them waiting. They had been good, not calling the redhead or even going to the dorm. They had decided to give her the time she had said she needed. Of course, when the phone had rang the night before both girls had practically been jumping up and down when Willow had said she wanted to meet them both in the commons at noon the next day. They had actually begun a tentative friendship of sorts, but Buffy feared that Willow's decision would change it all. "Where is she?"
"I'm here," Willow said softly causing both girls to turn and face her. She blushed slightly at the sight of both the slayers. These two beautiful, magnificent women claimed to love her. Even now their eyes softened as they looked at her causing tremors to run over her skin. "Sorry, my history prof kept us late to finish a lecture."
"We just got here," Buffy lied, figuring that Willow didn't need to know that she and Faith had been there since a little after eleven.
"Yeah, haven't been here long at all," Faith said, following Buffy's lead. She smiled slightly as she looked at the redhead, taking in the brown jeans and orange shirt that fit the girl rather well. "You look so pretty."
Willow felt her face flame red again at Faith's words, the knot in her stomach tightening. "Thanks," she stuttered.
"You always look beautiful," Buffy said quietly, knowing that the girl was nervous.
"Guys," Willow said, squirming slightly as both girls looked at her. "The reason you're both here...."
"It's ok," Buffy said softly, "You don't have to do this. It wasn't really nice of us to gang up on you like that....to tell you all that stuff when you're trying to deal with everything else."
"I know I don't have to," Willow said, "but I want to." "I'm staying here," Faith suddenly spoke up. "I'm going to start patrolling again and everything."
"That's great," Willow smiled a sincere smile. "I know you can do it, Faith. If anyone can, you can."
"Ya think?" Faith smiled at the redhead's confidence in her.
"Mom has agreed to let Faith stay at the house," Buffy piped in. She had spent over an hour talking to her mom, explaining about Faith, confessing her secret affection for Willow. She still felt so proud of her Mom for simply hugging her and telling her she loved her when she had confessed that she was in love with another woman. Of course, after having dealt with Buffy being the slayer, she assumed that Joyce had found it much easier dealing with her daughter being bi-sexual.
"I'm gonna start helping her at the gallery during the day, sort of work for room and board," Faith explained. Ever since that plan had been reached, she had felt like a weight had lifted from her shoulders. She honestly thought that she might make it this time.
"I'm so proud of you," Willow said softly, her eyes moving to Buffy and seeing the look on the blonde's face. "Of both of you. For letting the past stay where it belongs."
"Well, no use holding a grudge is there?" Buffy asked quietly, not adding that she figured Willow would choose the brunette and that it had entirely been selfish on her part for her to help Faith in hopes of keeping Willow in her life.
"Actually, this helps more than you know," Willow said as she sat down. "You see, I've done a lot of thinking. Hell, it seems all I've done lately is think. I'm tired of thinking."
"I'm sorry," Faith said, having never intended to hurt the redhead.
"Not your fault," Willow said with a smile. "I always think too much. Anyway, I've made a decision. I honestly don't know if either of you is going to like it, but I'm done thinking."
"We agreed to respect your choice," Buffy said, her heart beating rapidly as she waited to hear the words that were going to change her life, either for good or worse.
"Red, c'mon," Faith groaned, "Quit stalling."
"Impatient as always," Willow said with a soft smile, remembering their night together.
"Willow," Buffy warned, beginning to not care that they were in the commons during the middle of the day. She was going to scream.
"Ok, Ok," Willow said with a shy smile. "You see, I'm done with thinking. Life is too short to think so much, you know. I'm ready to make some decisions based on feelings."
"And?" Faith asked, glancing at Buffy with a confused look.
"Buffy, you're my best friend," Willow began, watching her friend's pretty face fall, "I love you. I honestly don't want to even think about a future without you in my life. And Faith, well, I know I was a bitch to you when you first came here and I'm sorry. I never gave you a chance. That night, the words that were spoken were yours. It was you that I started to fall in love with, your touch and knowledge that excited me so much. I think I could love you, if you let me get to know the real you."
"What are you saying?" Buffy asked, not following the redhead's logic.
"That I've made up my mind," Willow said, taking a deep breath. This was going to take more courage than anything else she had ever done. She looked at both girls, staring into their eyes for several moments before looking at the other. Finally, she let out her breath, "All or nothing."
"What?" Faith asked.
"All or nothing?" Buffy repeated with a frown.
Willow nodded, "I can't live without you, Buffy, but I think I could also love Faith. Hell, I already pretty much do."
"You want us both," Faith said, her eyes widening slightly as she slowly started to smile. "Kind of greedy, eh, Red?"
"If we don't agree to share, neither of us gets you, right?" Buffy asked, not believing that her sweet little Willow was saying such a thing.
"Right," Willow nodded. "I couldn't live with just one of you. I know it isn't fair of me to ask you both to do this, but I can't choose. You both mean so much to me, in different ways. I can't give one up for the other. If you can't, well, I'll understand and I won't hold it against you. I do hope we could still be friends, but I doubt that."
"Wills, are you sure?" Buffy had to know. "I mean, I'm ok with it if Faith is. It might be a bit strange at first, but what relationship isn't? I just want to know that you know what you're getting into."
"B's right," Faith said quietly. "One slayer is bad enough, but two? Never thought you were the insane one, Red."
"I think I can handle it," Willow said with a smile. "If you both can."
"Who am I to turn down kinky sex?" Faith asked with a large smile.
"Faith!" Buffy said, her face flaming. "We're not just talking about sex here."
"Oh, I know that," Faith said. "Trust me, I know that. We're talking about a future here. A future with someone I could call a friend and someone that I love. I don't really see much of a question."
"Buffy?" Willow asked quietly, knowing her blonde friend was still dealing with the idea that she loved another girl much less about to maybe enter into a triangle relationship with yet another girl that used to be a former enemy. She couldn't even begin to deal with the melodrama that was her life. It seemed unreal, yet so right in a way.
"Willow, I love you," Buffy said with a smile. "It took me years to realize that. Only after I lost you, did I begin to understand. I can't lose you again. I won't make any promises that this will be easy for me. I mean, Faith and I don't have the strongest of pasts, but we both love you. We're both slayers. That gives us probably two to three more years at best until we retire or are killed. I can't even pretend to want to spend that time with anyone but you. I can handle Faith if I get you in the bargain."
"Thanks, B," Faith said with a smile. "And we'll see about you handling me," she added with a wink.
"What have I done?" Willow asked with a large smile as the slayers began taunt each other with laughter.
"C'mon, honey," Buffy said, holding her hand to Willow. "Let's go get some lunch and talk."
"But no thinking," Faith promised as she took the redhead's other hand. "There's enough time for thinking later."
"Food sounds good," Willow said, walking between her girlfriends. She smiled at that thought, wondering how jealous Xander was going to be that she got not one but both slayers. She laughed, "And we start deciding how we're going to break the news of our new relationship to the others."
"I vote for letting them find us fucking in the cemetary," Faith said with a laugh.
"Oh, that's great," Buffy said, rolling her eyes. She looked at Willow and continued, "We can always arrange a meeting and let them know all at once. Deal with it and let them know we're serious."
"Yeah, we should just tell them next time we meet for research," Willow said with a smile, "Though I do think Faith's idea has merits too."
"Enough about the sex," Buffy said with a whine.
"Ah, poor wittle Buffy feels left out," Faith said with a smile. "It's OK, hon. We'll make sure you're never left out again."
"Promises, promises," Buffy said with a wicked smile.
"Goddess, I do love you guys," Willow said with a satisfied smile.
"Love you too, baby," Faith said as she leaned over and kissed the redhead swiftly.
Buffy leaned forward and kissed Willow gently, tasting the redhead for the first time. She pulled back, smiling, "I love you, Will. Now, let's eat."
Willow smiled as she caught the surprised looks from some of their classmates. Oh well, she was going to have to get used to dealing with that. She smiled brightly at them and winked as she continued to walk between Faith and Buffy. Her life finally felt complete.
