Stiles has to attend a masquerade ball as the McCall representative despite the fact that he distrusts the Hales and certainly doesn't want to honor them. When he meets a handsome stranger in a private alcove, the evening starts looking up. Of course, it's just his luck that his plans for a one night stand don't turn out that way at all.

Stiles and Derek have their second date, which happens to be a pack outing to a trivia night at the local brewery. Stiles is worried it might be overwhelming, but Derek actually seems to be kind of excited about meeting more of Stiles' pack.

Stiles has warned Derek that Jackson can be a button pushing asshole, but he doesn't seem to believe it. Until he meets Jackson.

Stiles and Derek take a road trip up to Oregon to spend the weekend at a bed and breakfast on the coast. Stiles is looking forward to spending time with Derek without any interruptions, and he knows they both could use a chance to relax.

Derek and Stiles are glad for the opportunity to get time for themselves and enjoy their weekend getaway to the coast. They do touristy stuff, talk a lot, and finally try out that bath tub in their suite.

After work, Stiles stops by to help Derek get his pack moved into their new house in Beacon Hills. He's actually a little nervous about meeting Derek's pups.

The month of October has passed so quickly that Stiles can't believe it's already Halloween. While he and Derek are on their way to the costume party at Luna, Stiles gets distracted by a reminder from an unsolved case that leads to Derek seeing another side of him.

Stiles has an epiphany while visiting Scott and Allison. He realizes that he and Derek need to have an important talk.

Stiles plans a romantic date at home to surprise Derek because he's embracing this recently discovered sappy side of his personality.

Derek and Stiles host Thanksgiving for both of their packs.

It's the week before Christmas, and it's Stiles' last free day to take care of some necessary business for the surprise party he's throwing for Derek's birthday.

Soulmates. Seriously? Stiles can't believe they think he's that gullible. He knows there's no such thing as mates. The Hales are obviously scheming against his pack by attempting to trick him with this nonsense. It doesn't matter how good-looking Derek Hale is, either, because Stiles isn't buying what they're trying to sell him.

Stiles gets home from work and finds Derek in the kitchen baking.

Derek and Stiles babysit Luke as a favor for Allison & Scott.

After the Hales leave, Stiles gets a lecture from Scott & Allison, who totally have the disappointed parent look down pat. He stops by to see his dad to let him on the whole destiny mate thing then goes home to clean house only to find a certain gorgeous but nuts for believing in fate visitor already there waiting for him.

Stiles finally gets some answers about why the Hales left Beacon Hills without ever looking back. He's the one answering questions later, though, when his pack finds out about his mate bond with Derek.

Derek is back in Oregon temporarily, but he and Stiles still take time out of their busy lives to try to get to know each other a little bit better.

Stiles isn't used to waking up with someone in his bed, but Derek has every intention of helping him get accustomed to it.

Derek takes Stiles out for their first date. The countdown begins, but Stiles realizes that is he isn't all that excited about the whole time limit thing anymore.

Living with someone is a tough adjustment for two people used to being alone. Stiles and Derek are trying, but that doesn't prevent their first real fight from happening over something trivial.

Stiles wakes up early, so he decides to make Derek breakfast. Maybe a little quality time together will help take his mind off the fact that Laura Hale, future Hale Alpha (aka Alpha Squared) is going to be arriving for a visit later that morning.
